Greg Thow

>>Where the heck are you now?

Denver, Colorado

>>Are you married? Single? What have you been up to all these years?

Having floated through singledom all my life, fate caught up with me and I married in 2007 (on the evening of our 25th H.S. Reunion no less) my lovely wife Megan... we now live a few blocks north of Invesco Field in downtown Denver....

Previous to that, I was in Rock Island, Illinois, San Diego, California (where I was roommates with a fellow Zipper, Tom Tweed) and then in Indianapolis, Indiana for the better part of a decade before moving to Denver in 2000...

>>What on earth do you do for a living?

Employment-wise I have worked in the Television Industry my entire life... I am now a Director of various shows for The Mountain Sports Network housed in the Comcast MegaComplex in South Denver... I had worked for NBC (KWQC in Davenport), CBS (WISH in Indy), FOX (KDVR in Denver), Movie Channels (Starz/Encore) and Independent Stations (KUSI in San Diego) before that...

>>Last time you were in Monmouth?

Summer 2007 for the Van Ausdall retirement gala... I got in a day late but caught up with Zippers Bart Blum and David DeYoung....

>>How do you explain "Zippers" to people?

Let's be honest, that's just one of the most embarrassing mascot names in North American History, right? Having said that, I just tell people that my grandfather invented the Zipper and they are left both in awe and befuddlement...

>>Favorite motion picture of all time?

"The Shawshank Redemption"

>>You've come this far.. how bout an email address for folks to keep in contact with ya?

Certainly! greg1701@comcast.net or gthow@themtn.tv will do nicely....

>>Do you have your own website? You may plug it here....

My website is here...

>>Finally, any current/old photos to share?

Let's go with current, shall we?

1.
trying to pry money away from Regis Philbin and ABC... 2002...
2. Rocky Mountain National Park... 2004...
3. Freelancing for ESPN during the 2007 World Series.. with Steve Phillips on the SportsCenter set during game 3 between the Red Sox/Rockies.... 4. A few hours before my wedding, some friends and I went bowling to relieve stress... yeah, that's the reason...
